Dr Ariana Loff

About

Ariana has a Masters degree in Child learning and development and Degree in Primary School Teaching from the Universidade de Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) in Portugal. In Portugal she worked on a project within the Dyslexia Unit in UTAD that was focused on dyslexia diagnosis and intervention. Her main work was in dyslexia intervention and she worked for 3 years as a Re-education Technician with children aged 6-16 years. She was also an adjunct professor in Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro University in Portugal. Ariana started working at the University of York in April 2009 as an ELDEL Early Stage Researcher (ESR). Alongside her role on the ELDEL project she studied towards a PhD and completed this in 2013.

Ariana is an Early Literacy Researcher with KSI Research International Inc. (2009) and also works with the Canadian Research Institute of Social Policy (CRISP) at the University of New Brunswick in Canada.

Research interests

Ariana's research interests include language and literacy development, early intervention and educational assessments.
